Listen to their words as these Mormon Elders / Missionaries Sing for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints - Ask yourself who are they praising?
why do you continue to twist anything you can?get a life, why dont you?
Ok, let's put the text here to make sure it's not twisted:Praise to the man who communed with Jehovah! Jesus anointed that Prophet and Seer. Blessed to open the last dispensation, Kings shall extol him, and nations revere. [Chorus] Hail to the Prophet, ascended to heaven! Traitors and tyrants now fight him in vain. Mingling with Gods, he can plan for his bethren; death cannot conquer the hero again.Praise to his mem'ry, he died as a martyr; Honored and blest be his ever great name! Long shall his blood, which was shed by assassins, Plead unto heav'n while the earth lauds his fame.Great is his glory and endless his priesthood. Ever and ever the keys he will hold. Faithful and true, he will enter his kingdom, Crowned in the midst of the prophets of old.Sacrifice brings forth the blessings of heaven; Earth must atone for the blood of that man. Wake up the world for the conflict of justice. Millions shall know "Brother Joseph" again.Ok, so I read this as saying that Joseph Smith is to be praised, and he died as a martyr (never knew a martyr with a gun before). The only blood that I believe crys out is innocent blood, which the Bible says none but Christ is. The Bible says in Isaiah 53:6 All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on HIM the iniquity of us all. Only 1 man is worthy of my praise--the God Man Jesus Christ, who was 100% God and 100% man, the only Son of the Father, one God forever with the Spirit, 3 persons, 1 God, the only God.
JO, excellent insight, using God's word the bible.
I can tell you that as a Christian, when I watched the beginning of "Lifting the Veil on Polygamy" and saw them singing praises to Joseph Smith (at least that's what I thought they were doing) I literally almost threw up. It made me so sick just to think about it. Our God (the true and living God who created the universe and all that is there in and made man in His likeness and image and for His glory) is the ONLY one worthy and deserving of Honor and Praise! I would be scared to death to give that kind of worship to a man!
After my last comment I was reminded of the story in Acts 12 vs 21-23"And upon a set day Herod, arrayed in royal apparel, sat upon his throne, and made an oration unto them. And the people gave a shout, saying, It is the voice of a god, and not of a man.and immediately the angel of the Lord "smote him, because he gave not God the glory: and he was eaten of worms, and gave up the ghost."
